John Njoroge gave a recent testimony that gives a perspective of what God is doing through Central Africa Baptist Radio.
“I was preaching at Chipata Faith Baptist Church one Sunday. As I was preaching I noticed a man who was very engaged in the sermon and was actively giving response as I spoke about trusting God during trials and difficulties.
After the service I followed the man to know more about him and where he came from. Outside I noticed that he was talking to many people introducing himself and praising God for our concern about teaching the word of God in our church. He spoke to Elder Moonga and they exchanged contact information.
He came directly to where I was standing and began expressing praise to God for the preaching of His word. I asked him where he came from. †He explained that he was a Seventh Day Adventist. He came all the way from Nkana West just to attend the service at FBC Chipata because he is a listener of our radio station. †He wanted to listen to the preaching of Godís Word from one of the churches that have been actively preaching on the radio at 106.9 FM.
This man said that the preaching of Godís word found on our Radio is the first of its kind. He confessed that he had never heard a radio that preaches the word like our radio.
Few things he pointed out are that all our preachers have a good understanding of the need of people and that the sermons are timely and current. He felt this was a clear indication that the whole counsel of God is being preached within our community through our radio.
This man said that the songs we play on the radio are an encouragement to him and his family. He has been challenged by our station’s strictness on songs that go on air and the kind of music played. He said that unlike other radio stations, our station has maintained our philosophy of music to the glory of God not primarily the pleasure of our listeners. Instead of the audience telling us what songs to play, we have our own music that has been screened through the Scriptures not the songs that are on the market everywhere.
To me this was testimony of Godís faithfulness in His work through the radio station. †I trust Him for more blessings and fruit through the radio for His glory.”
