Certificate Programs

Certificate in Missions

This is a one-year certificate. To receive the Certificate in Missions, you must complete the designated 18 credits of Missions courses.

Certificate in Counseling

This is a one-year certificate. To receive the Certificate in Counseling, you must complete the designated 18 credits of Counseling courses.

Certificate in Religious Studies

This is a one-year certificate. To receive the Certificate in Religious Studies, you must complete the designated 18 credits of Religious Studies courses.

Certificate in Chaplaincy Ministry

This is a two-year certificate. To receive the Certificate in Chaplaincy Ministry, you must complete a cycle of nine week-long block classes.

Certificate in Sign Language and Deaf Studies

This is a two-year certificate. To receive the Certificate in Sign Language and Deaf Studies, you must complete seven courses. These courses are offered in the evening hours to accommodate those who work.

**A student may choose to pursue up to two certificates concurrently. Students who decide to continue for a diploma or degree in Bible may do so based on their qualifications. All full-time certificate program students will be required to take the First-Year Orientation course during the semester.

Diploma Programs

Diploma in Primary Education

The Diploma in Primary Education is a full-time, three-year program organized by the Ministry of Education in Zambia. CABU encourages students who pursue a Diploma in Primary Education to add an extra year of studies to receive specific Bible training. Students may choose from five certificates: Missions, Counseling, Religious Studies, Chaplaincy Ministry, or Sign Language and Deaf Studies. Students who extend their studies by one year can complete any two of these certificates.

Diploma in Bible

To receive a Diploma in Bible, you must complete at least 96 credits.

Degree Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Bible

To receive a Bachelor of Arts in Bible, you must complete at least 120 credits.

Emphases

At the end of the first year, all Bible program students (diploma or degree) are required to choose an emphasis, which will be identified on the degree or diploma earned. A student may also take elective classes from other emphases.
