The 9th Annual Central Africa Baptist Leadership Conference has ended! The week was a rich spiritual feast of word-centered instruction and fellowship among God’s people.

Pastor Mbewe preaching the closing session of LC2012
There were sessions throughout the morning on Friday followed by a closing general session preached by Pastor Conrad Mbewe.
Pastor Mbewe gave the delegates their marching orders from John 17:6-19 by expounding the words of Jesus to His disciples: “I have sent them out into the world…” Pastor Mbewe pointed out that the information we have received through the conference must result in transformation. He challenged delegates to leave this conference being sent out by God into the world as servants. Carrying out this Commission means we must break out of our comfort zones in a similar way to Jesus when He left the glories of heaven to enter this sinful world. To go back to our ministries and forget about the Great Commission would be to sin against Jesus.
The Conference ended with another delicious meal served by the Kitchen Staff followed by warm greetings as delegates departed for their various ministries.
CABC Advisory Board
Friday evening the Advisory Board for CABC met for their annual meeting. This was a time for discussion and planning for the future of the ministry at CABC. The board elected officers in this meeting. Pastor Saidi Chishimba was elected as Chairman of the board, Mr. Cornwell Tepa was elected as Vice-Chair, and Mr. Sandala Mwanje was appointed Secretary. The evening concluded with a time of fellowship around a delicious meal.
4th Graduation Ceremony
The fourth Commencement (Graduation) Ceremony for Central Africa Baptist College was held on Saturday morning. Dr. Sam Horn delivered the Commencement Charge to the graduates. He spoke to them from Ezra 7:1-10 pointing out how God prepares, empowers and uses a man of God. He challenged the graduates to prepare their hearts to seek the word of God and be determined to obey it regardless of the cost. It is only then that they will be able to teach the statutes of God to others.
Each graduate was called and asked to give a word of testimony. It was of particular interest to hear how each man referred to their desire to be faithful to God and His Word all the days of their lives.
The following men received their degrees from Central Africa Baptist College:
- Mr. Maybin Chilambwe, Zambia – 1yr Certificate in Bible
